Some of my favorite candy packaging was done by the fine folks at the Ferrara Pan Candy Co. in Forest Park, Illinois. They recently did a redesign of the whole line (boo!), now many of the old favorites have been re-named after the popular Lemonheads candy (Alexander the Grape candies are now Grapeheads, Johnny Appletreats are now Appleheads, etc). The images linked below are the pre-redesign versions. One little detail you you wouldn't notice without opening a pack is that the inside flaps of the boxes read "SAY NO! TO DRUGS" or "say nope to dope" inside a little stop sign shape. Illegal chemicals may be bad for you, but these candies are so super-saturated with dye, if you leave them uneaten in the box for more than a couple of weeks, the color will bleed through the cardboard.
